Archiving Projects#
When you have completed a project, or if you’re managing multiple projects at once, archiving is a useful tool to neatly organise your web map. This feature allows you to store completed or inactive projects, making room for active ones, while keeping the archived data accessible for future reference.
Archiving an Active Project:
To archive a project, head to the Site Investigation web map and zoom in on your project. Click on your project area, or subject land, to display the popup window. Notice the Pen icon, which allows you to edit your project details. Edit your project and change its status from “In Progress” to “Archived”.
This action will remove your project and all associated information from the screen. These are safely archived and can be restored at any time.
Restoring an Archived Project:
To restore an archived project, navigate to the Archived Projects web map and zoom in on the project you wish to restore. Click on the project to display the Pen icon, then edit your project’s status from “Archived” to “In Progress”.
We recommend archiving completed projects to maintain clear and organised web maps!
